How do I know if a cigar is fresh?
Aye, what's good y'all? It's ya folk..Lem Mo, a Black man living in the A-T-L, and I'm here to talk to you about cigars. Now, I know some of y'all might be thinking, "Why in the world is this dude talking about cigars?" But let me tell you, a good cigar is like a good pair of sneakers - it's all about that freshness.
So, how do you know if a cigar is fresh? Well, first things first, give it the ol' sniff test. A fresh cigar should have a nice, subtle aroma, kind of like a fresh cut lawn or a newborn baby's head (okay, maybe not that last one, but you get the point). If it smells musty or damp, it's probably been sitting around for a while and ain't gonna give you that smooth, satisfying smoke you're looking for.
Next, give it the squeeze test. A fresh cigar should have a nice, firm feel to it, like a well-toned bicep (or a well-toned whatever, I ain't here to judge). If it feels soft or spongy, it's probably been humidified too much and ain't gonna give you that consistent burn you're looking for.
Now, once you've found yourself a fresh cigar, it's important to keep it that way. And that's where Amazon comes in. You can find all sorts of products on there to keep your cigars fresh, like humidors, humidifiers, and even travel cases. It's like buying a fresh pair of sneakers - you wanna keep them looking good and feeling good for as long as possible.
Speaking of sneakers, let me tell you, a fresh pair of sneakers is like a fresh cigar - it's all about that freshness. But here's the thing, a fresh pair of Gucci sneakers ain't gonna do you no good if they ain't fresh. And just like a fresh cigar, a fresh pair of sneakers is gonna cost you. But let me tell you, a cheap pair of second hand sneakers from your uncle Cricket, who still lives with 9 cats and a pot belly pig outside of Birmingham, AL, can be just as fresh if you take care of them.
So, in the end, it's all about enjoying life today, because tomorrow may never come. As the great philosopher, Tupac Shakur, once said, "You can spend minutes, hours, days, weeks, or even months over-analyzing a situation; trying to put the pieces together, justifying what could've, would've happened... or you can just leave the pieces on the floor and move the fuck
on." So, go out there, find yourself a fresh cigar, and enjoy the hell out of it. Peace.
